         ~ We started Cyndie's Happy Pet Sitters because we love animals and want to provide them with the best possible care in the environment that makes them the happiest...their own home!

Our pet family includes cats, dogs, birds, reptiles and fish, so we have lots of love and experience to share when we care for your pets.

We want you to be relaxed and completely comfortable with your decision to choose our services for your pets.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 What do you charge? What are your fees?  
If this is the first question you have, then perhaps we are not the pet sitting company for you. You will notice that we have very high standards for our clients, as well as for ourselves. Our clients require only the best for their pets and that is what we provide. “You get what you pay for” applies here. We are not the cheapest and proud of that fact. Our pet sitting rate starts at $18.00 per visit and is based on several factors including the number of pets, the amount of time needed to care for them and extended mileage for those outside our usual service area. A specific quote will be given during the initial consultation appointment (which is provided at no charge).

What do I get by having you care for my pets instead of a friend or neighbor?
Peace of mind is the simple answer, we offer reliable professional service and all our pet sitters are      
licensed, insured & bonded. Our ongoing goal is to provide the best pet care for your pets, it's never an inconvenience for us. 

Our mission is caring for your pets. Each member of our family is experienced and continuously adding to our pet related education.  
We are active members of GNPP (Georgia Network of Professional Pet Sitters) and a licensed business.

What types of animals do you provide care for?

(Should you have a pet that is not on this list, don’t be discouraged, just ask! Cyndie’s Happy Pet Sitters are very experienced in dealing with a very diverse group of animals.)

How long do you stay with my pet?  
We're not going to provide anyone with a set time for the duration of pet visits. Ideally we stay 30 minutes and that is what we schedule for, although this is an approximate time. There will be visit times that are shorter and visit times that are longer. We use the word approximately because there are times (during holidays for example) that it is not practical to say that a sitter will stay 30 minutes.

What references can you provide?
Client references can be provided on request. We want you to be completely comfortable with Cyndie’s Happy Pet Sitters before allowing us to serve your pet care needs.

What is your privacy policy?
Cyndie’s Happy Pet Sitters adheres to the strictest policies possible. Your private information and service schedules are never shared with anyone outside our pet care family. Only the owner, sitters and office personnel will have access to any of your files, each of whom are bound by our service contract to provide complete client confidentiality.

 How will I know which of your sitters will be caring for my pet and home?
We are a small business that does not use contractors and has a limited number of sitters so you know who will be caring for your home and pets. Getting to know us is part of your initial consultation appointment. At that time, you will meet your sitter, ensure all paperwork is completed and accurate, sign contracts, allow your sitter to meet and familiarize themselves with your pet, and receive the keys to your home for them to use on future visits. We want you, your pet and the sitter to all be completely comfortable with each other. By doing this, you can relax and so can your pet!

What happens if the weather is bad and the sitter is unable to safely get to my home?
While scheduling your pet care visits, during the initial interview, you will be asked to supply an “Emergency Contact”, usually a neighbor or nearby relative that has agreed to care for your pet in the event weather conditions make it unsafe/impossible for the sitter to travel to your home. Should weather conditions become this extreme, you and your “Emergency Contact” would be contacted to insure your pet(s) are cared for until weather again permits pet sitter visits. During the initial interview you will also receive a copy of our Disaster Preparedness Plan which details how we will manage the weather emergency and your pets care. 


What happens if my pet becomes ill or injured while I am away?
In preparation for your initial consultation you’ll complete a Pet Information Disclosure for each of your pets, including information regarding your preferred veterinarian or clinic. You’ll also complete a Veterinary Care Release form that allows us to seek vet attention for your pets when needed. When you sign this, you will be agreeing to give Cyndie’s Happy Pet Sitters permission to seek medical treatment for your pet in your absence. Should your pet require medical attention, the sitter will make every possible attempt to get your pet to your preferred veterinarian. In the event your preferred veterinarian is unavailable, we will take your pet to the first available veterinarian from our list of qualified Doctors of Veterinary Medicine. We want your pet happy and healthy. Therefore, we will get it to medical treatment as quickly as possible if the need arises. When possible, you will be contacted prior to our taking your pet to the vet, however if time is of the essence and the medical condition requires immediate attention, we will see that the pet gets the care it needs then contact you immediately. In the event of a poor prognosis any final decision on treatment would be yours.

 What happens if I my return home is delayed?
All of our clients are required to contact us upon their return home. If we do not receive a call from you, we will continue providing pet care services until we can confirm that you have returned and resumed the care of your pet. If possible, it does help for you to call us and let us know you are being delayed, however we do understand that this is not always possible. So, you can rest assured that your pet will continue to receive care even if you are unable to return as scheduled.

How will I be billed or make payment for services? 
~ 1st Service must be paid in full prior to start of service/visits.
~ Future services are paid for prior to or upon the start of service/visits.
~ To reduce costs we currently accept payment by cash or check only.
~ Should a check be returned for any reason, your will be charged for the amount of the returned check, plus the additional returned check fee stated on your contract.

I travel frequently; how far ahead should I schedule pet care services?
We can schedule all your pet care service dates as far ahead as you would like, but barring unusual circumstances prefer at least 48 hours advance notice. At the initial interview, you will receive a “Client Folder” which contains Service Request Forms. Simply fill one of these out and email it to us with the information on when you will need our services. We will then contact you with a follow-up email and/or telephone call to confirm we will be able to provide you service for those dates. We would like to remind you, should your schedule change, requiring service schedules to change, you must contact us immediately. Otherwise, services will begin on your specified date and charges may be applied.
